Blog Post 4: Joy Over Breast Cancer

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

This friend announced her cancer diagnosis also as a prayer request. Since we had already started a free health aid mission, we just knew to start with her too! She didn’t care about just the brassica family of micro’s but just wanted any nutrition. So for her story we’ve just been supplying her with a weekly variety of microgreens. Her care has started with chemotherapy and is still in the treatment phases. During it all, God has laid it upon her heart to choose joy and to pray continually. As tough as that is, she has felt the change and is thankful each day! During her battle we will update you if we can with either outcome. Simply to state the walk of faith, not the power of our greens. Our mission through Christ is to provide help with nutrition when and where possible. The outcome of any disease, sickness, or life is through God for each person according to His will.

Blog Post 3: Fun Natural Fiber For Youth

For me, youth means anyone younger than 20. But this blog is about a nine year old girl. Ever since toddler years and solid foods, eating vegetables was tricky!

Since consuming vegetables seemed morbid, a diet lacking vegetables became the norm. Over the years the girl’s stomach developed issues. Her mother shared that there was bloating, bowel movement problems, surgeries, and much more.

If you have read Blog Post 2, you know all about this girl’s wonderful mother. Well one night they were over for a play date and we gave them a tour of our greenhouse. For friends we do a Taste and See tour, gotta love that! I think for this girl to see how microgreens are grown, a someone younger eating them up faster than we could cut, encouraged her to “try” them. Her first vegetable was the Sunflower Shoots. These not only DON’T look like baby trees but they have a great crunch and a smooth nutty taste. Maybe a nut flavor could divert her taste buds and separate vegetable consumption for her. Sure enough…she LOVED them!

Sparing details, a large microgreen feast caused a school absence the next day! A natural fiber was ingested and sure did its trick! Eating microgreens can change how your child or any youth consumes a daily intake of vital minerals, fibers, and vitamins.

Microgreens could be a school lesson, could be grown in your kitchen, could change your Child’s view of food. Solid Rock Growers, LLC is a firm believer of educating youth. Farming and gardening is just the start of education about the food we eat. Microgreens come ready to eat. So simply toss into any recipe. Blog Post 2: Ovarian Cancer (Stage 4)

This dear lady is an American Veteran, mother, wife, daughter, and prosthetic wearing beauty (S.B.)! Our relationship began prior to Thanksgiving of 2022. Our children became friends in AWANA’s and being new to the church we got-a-talking. She has some amazing squirrel, war, relationship, and life stories to interest anyone for hours!

Without getting into too much of the details, as that’s not my story, her cancer diagnosis was hidden since 2018. Which means the cancer stage is at a four in 2023! A life expectancy of 2-5 years was given. A life altering letter stopped time, dreams, and life for a moment.

With God as her backbone, the news was shared with family and friends. A “plan” was created and treatment began. Along with the other Missions Solid Rock Growers, LLC is fighting with greens. She has been added to the list!

With her story still unfolding, future plans are being sorted out and made as though life will continue. That’s her attitude, “life can’t stop!”. Weekly the greens provided are a variety of microgreens with her choice to tide to Solid Rock Growers, LLC for the greens.

With S.B. on my mind I think of this bible verse and pray it over her life:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Blog Post 1: Breast Cancer

It all begins with prayer. Finding out the news about that big “C” word can be devastating to say the least.

Someone’s hope in scripture is to ask for prayer and believe it, and it will be yours “Mark 11:24” was the beginning of Solid Rock Growers, LLC Mission!

A women at our church, J.J shared her breast cancer news for prayer and support. Besides praying we asked if trying the Bodacious Brassica Mix or Broccoli microgreens daily would be an alternative healing method she would like to try. The Lord led us to provide weekly micro’s for free as our Mission! She agreed and began her delicious nutrient packed meals. The tumor measured at 21mm prior to surgery. After 3 weeks of daily consumption of Bodacious Brassica Mix the tumor’s size was 7mm. Again we are not claiming cancer treatment with our greens. Please follow your medical professionals’ care instructions.
